Invisalign® clear aligners are a safe, effective and discreet way of giving you the smile of your dreams. Invisalign® works by applying gentle pressure to your teeth which moves them into their desired positions. A bit like going to the gym, this can lead to mild soreness afterwards – this is a good sign as it shows that the aligners are working.
The aligners are smooth and changed every 1-2 weeks, which means that, unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign® is much more comfortable. The soreness tends to settle in the first 2 weeks and can be managed by avoiding hard, chewy foods and mild painkillers.
Invisalign® treatment starts working from just 3 months for minor misalignments but can also be used to tackle more complex treatments over 18-24 months. On average, our adult treatments take about 6-12 months. You will need to wear your aligners for 22 hours a day, taking them out to eat, drink and clean your teeth.
